Drum-Debarker

A drum-debarker is a high-strength steel cylinder shell with precisely cut ‘bark slots’. Logs are lowered into a hopper where a conveyer belt will move the logs into the drum. The drum is on a horizontal angle which moves the logs through. Drum-debarkers are typically located at pulp and paper and chip-mills.
