    Dr. Jason Holliday Joins Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation in Virginia Tech’s College of Natural Resources

Dr. Jason Holliday

Dr. Jason Holliday joined the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation in July, 2009, as an Assistant Professor of Forest Genetics and Biotechnology. Dr. Holliday’s primary research interest is in unraveling the genomic basis for complex trait variation in trees, with an emphasis on local climatic adaptation. Prior to moving to Virginia Tech, Dr. Holliday obtained a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Victoria in Victoria, Canada, and a Ph.D. in Forestry from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

The College of Natural Resources (http://www.cnr.vt.edu/) at Virginia Tech consistently ranks among the top three programs of its kind in the nation.
