Field Guides

Choose a field guide for eastern North American birds. Here are some suggestions:

1) Peterson, R.T. A field guide to the birds: Eastern Birds
2) National Geographic Society. Field Guide to the Birds of North America
3) Robbins, C.B., Bruun, B., and H.S. Zim. Birds of North America: A guide to the Field identification. "The Golden Guide" (Not my favorite!)
4) Kaufman, K. Focus Guide to the birds of North America
5) Sibley, D. A. The Sibley guide to birds: National Audubon Society. (This ones a bit big to be a practical field guide, but it is a great one with extensive illustrations)
