Tables of Forestry Data for Virginia

Forests are managed so that there is a continuous supply of timber for the production of forest products, such as paper, lumber and furniture. The US Forest Service and the Virginia Department of Forestry conduct an on-going inventory of forest stands in Virginia so that we know the condition and volume of standing timber at all times. This information is used to manage Virginia’s forests.
