County Coordinator Program

The CNR County Coordinator Program is a grassroots effort by the Board to establish a network of local ambassadors for the College. County Coordinators will serve as contacts that individuals, schools, or civic organizations can contact for information or presentations about the College. Our initial hope is to identify a County Coordinator within each alumni chapter in Virginia, and then eventually spread to the individual County or City level. Information and materials will be available to County Coordinators electronically and by other means. We believe this program will be very beneficial in the area of student recruiting, and potentially in advocacy for the College. Some of us are already involved with potential students in our daily lives, and the County Coordinator Program provides us with the opportunity to lead interested students to studies in Natural Resources.

Both the CNR Mentor Program and CNR County Coordinator Program are wonderful opportunities to give something back to a special place. Our University’s motto Ut Prosim, meaning “that I may serve”, was ingrained in us as students and many of us continue to apply it everyday. The CNR Alumni Board invites you to embrace the University motto and become involved as a Mentor and / or as a County Coordinator. For more details or to volunteer, please contact CNR Director of Alumni Relations Patricia Foutz at pfoutz@vt.edu or 540-231-2512.
